The chalk dust is settling, the barbells are waiting, and the energy is building! Get ready, Blind Side Strength members, because the most exciting event of the year is almost upon us: the Blind Side Strength Brawl!
For those new to the gym, the Blind Side Strength Brawl is a worldwide online fitness competition that unites thousands of athletes from every corner of the globe. It’s a three-week test of fitness, grit, and community, where one workout is released each week. It’s a chance to push your limits, cheer on your friends, and see how far you’ve come in your fitness journey. And the best part? Everyone can participate, regardless of experience!
This year, we’re taking the Brawl to the next level with our own in-house competition designed to maximize the fun, camaraderie, and maybe a little friendly rivalry!
Introducing the Blind Side Strength Brawl Intramural Competition!
Get ready because it’s Gold Team with Coach Alvy vs. Black Team with Dr. Coach Brianna!
How It Works:
Over three exhilarating weeks, your team will battle it out for ultimate bragging rights (and some sweet glory!). Points are earned in a variety of ways, ensuring that every member's participation makes a real difference.
Key Dates:
The Brawl runs from February 26th to March 16th, 2026. Workouts will be released every Thursday, giving you the weekend to tackle them. Our dedicated Brawl workout blocks will be Saturdays at 8:15 AM (Open Gym) and 9:15 AM (Class).
Earning Points for Your Team:
Your contributions directly impact your team's standing!
- Completing the Workout:
- 3 Points: For completing the workout at the RX (as prescribed) level.
- 2 Points: For completing the workout at the Scaled level.
- 1 Point: For completing the workout at the Foundations/Beginner level.
- Every effort counts! Whether you're a seasoned veteran or trying your first-ever Brawl workout, your participation earns points for your team!
- Being a Judge:
- 1 Point: Every time a team member judges another athlete, they earn 1 point for their team!
- Judging is crucial for ensuring fair play and helps our community run smoothly. Plus, it's a fantastic way to be involved without the pressure of competing!
- To track judge points, please initial next to the athlete you judged.
- Weekly Spirit Awards:
- 1 BONUS POINT: Awarded to the team that brings the most spirit each Saturday! These points are only active during our Saturday Brawl sessions, so bring your A-game!
- Week 1 (Saturday, Feb 28th): Team who wears the most matching colors! Let's see your team pride!
- Week 2 (Saturday, March 7th): Team who brings the most recovery snacks! (This will be awarded to the team with the most members who contribute to the recovery table, focusing on team contribution and participation!)
- Week 3 (Saturday, March 14th): Team who cheers the loudest for their teammates! Bring the noise and uplift your fellow athletes!
- 1 BONUS POINT: Awarded to the team that brings the most spirit each Saturday! These points are only active during our Saturday Brawl sessions, so bring your A-game!
Important Logistics & Reminders:
- Official Score Submission: All scores for the Blind Side Strength Brawl must be submitted on by Monday at 5:00 PM for them to count towards our in-house competition.
- Judging & Spirit Points: While you can complete the workout anytime between its release and Monday, judging and spirit points can only be earned during our designated Saturday morning Brawl sessions (8:15 AM Open Gym & 9:15 AM CrossFit Class).
